Beginning July 29th, Priority Waste will provide automated collection of garbage to Canton residents utilizing ADA-compliant, 95-gallon carts. The new carts will replace the current collection protocol using 32-gallon containers and garbage bags at the curb. It’s important to note, garbage collection is the only thing changing under Priority Waste. Residents will continue to utilize their current recycling cart for recyclables. Yard waste will still be collected in paper yard waste bags or 32-gallon cans. Parkwood Estates normal weekly collections are on Wednesday. Also, beginning the week of July 29th, yard waste pick up will revert to our normal collection day. Missed pickups can be reported on-line at https://canton-mi-canton.app.transform.civicplus.com/forms/37104. You can contact Priority Waste at https://www.prioritywaste.com/contact/ or 586‑228‑1200. You can contact Canton’s Division of Public Works at 734‑397‑1011 or via email at dpw@cantonmi.gov. The waste hauling contract is one of the largest contracts Canton has and we understand this change will generate a lot of questions.
